As soon as I enter Masuda city I experienced a breath taking sight and I felt a peaceful atmosphere. Every time I left my guest house I was amazed because Masuda city has it all! It faces the Japanese sea and I was able to go swimming in a 5 minutes car ride. On my way to the beach I admire the beautiful mountains full of green trees and adorned with peaceful rivers. I enjoy seeing how stunning temples seemed to combine perfectly among the mountains. All landscapes seem to be taken from a book. Something that I personally loved was the stretched streets surrounded by traditional Japanese houses.
Tan pronto como entré en la ciudad de Masuda pude apreciar lugares que me quitaron la respiración y pude sentir una atmósfera llena de paz. Cada vez que salía me sentí admiración por la ciudad de Masuda ya que lo tiene todo! Al borde se encuentra el mar japonés a tan sólo cinco minutos en carro. Mientras llegábamos a la playa, admiraba las montañas llenas de hermosos árboles por donde corren ríos de agua tranquila. Veía con fascinación, cómo es que los templos yacían en perfecta armonía con la naturaleza. Todos los paisajes parecen sacados de un libro. Algo que disfruté particularmente, fueron las calles estrechas rodeadas por espléndidas casas al estilo japonés.

What I liked the most about this place is the local landscape. Masuda is a sea town surrounded by mountains. There are unusual plants everywhere and the view from the hills is amazing. The park is clean and very nice. We took care of bugs and watered the flowers every day in the morning and in the evening. Sometimes we cleaned the park. Everything here is done for people to spend their free time with pleasure and I was happy to help with it.
Местный пейзаж - это, пожалуй, то, что мне понравилось здесь больше всего. Город находится на берегу моря и окружён горами. Везде растут необычные растения, а с возвышенностей открывается потрясающий вид. Парк очень чистый и приятный. Каждый день, утром и вечером, мы заботились о жуках-носорогах и поливали цветы, иногда убирались в парке. Всё здесь делается, чтобы люди смогли хорошо провести свой досуг, и мне было очень приятно помогать с этим.

益田は自然豊かな町で、ため息が出るほど美しいことを多くの人に知って欲しいと思います。初日に萩・石見空港に降り立った時はあまりの暑さに驚きましたが、それを忘れるくらい魅力的な絶景を見ることが出来ました。私の町と違い、街灯も少なく、夜には満点の星空を見ることが出来るので、星好きの私としてはとても嬉しい環境です。
もちろん万葉公園も木々に囲まれており、虫や野菜など、自然に即した環境でボランティア活動が出来て、日々リフレッシュしています。
